ROLE CLARITY - APPLICATION ENGINEERS ROLE DEFINITION:Application engineer one who is responsible for develop sequence, create schematics, Analytical thinking, write & install programs, finally explaining products & services to the prospective customers.RESPONSIBILITY DELIVERABLE: Excellent communication and providing right commitments to customers Strong logical thinking and client managements capabilities Understanding application & committing to timeline submission of projects Solutions oriented approach throughout projects Furnishing Programs & service reports on routine basis Additional knowledge in field devices Sensors, Pneumatics, motors etc. Project reporting to immediate boss Avoid disclosing one customer details to other customers & individuals. Understanding & ensuring compliance with relevant health & safety regulation & quality standards communicate project status over phone before leaving the site.SKILLS: Control programming knowledge & hands-on work experience on our range of products i.e.) PLC, HMI, servo, VFD etc. Requirement analysis & technical understanding. Willingness to travel within the city & travel across the country sometimes outside country. Must feel comfortable speaking in front of customers. Planning, organization, quality & yes Team work. To learn & grow professionally as well as for organizational growth.Basic wiring Knowledge. Catalogue reading CapabilityTASK & ACTIVITIES: TECHNICAL UNDERSTANDING & MANAGEMENTUnderstand the machine sequence & schematics Work with mechanical & electrical team to ensure the control system will meet performance, reliability & functionality requirements. Before power-on ensure electrical parameters Design PLC programs specific to customer & project requirement Perform onsite commissioning & provide thorough testing of machine functionality to verify PLC program completeness Before leaving the site report the project status to immediate boss & share service report respectively Ensure sending Internal service report in excel format & program copy on editable format, to respective mail ids before addressing next site or same siteSTRATEGIC GROWTHTake appointment with customer before starting to site Start early to site & ensure carrying essentials i.e.) Software & programming cables of the brands that we are dealing with & Multimeter, tester, Aligner, safety shoes with proper dress codes to meet customer & site requirement Inform well advance for associate engineer either senior or electrical engineer. Double check the safety standards & Minimum working comfort. Contribute to Application engineer effectiveness by identifying short team and long-range issue that must be addressed, recommending options & course of action.
