The Platform Operations Enablement team works with groups and individuals throughout Akamai to ensure that Platform Operations has the foundation and support needed in order to maintain the unparalleled performance of Akamais computing platform.Partner with the bestThis is an opportunity to work in a large scale, global network operations department. Working directly with Akamais product you are involved in every facet of Akamais network operations. You can contribute to Akamais success while being part of a very important team.As a Platform Operations Engineer II, you will be responsible for:
• Monitoring, troubleshooting and resolving server and network problems.
• Working with various internal/external stakeholders to narrow down problems and achieve resolution.
• Ensuring SLAs are achieved, and Platform Operations work quality expectations are met.
• Ensuring the accuracy of the Platform Operations procedures/documents.
• Diagnosing troubles identified by network, monitoring and working to resolve issues.
• Handling multiple concurrent tasks with minimal supervision and low escalation level.
• Acting as an escalation point within the Platform Operations.
• Working Shift details: Fri/Mon (8 hrs.), Sat/Sun (12 hrs.)
Do what you loveTo be successful in this role you will:
• 2 years of relevant experience and a bachelors degree (Btech.) or its equivalent.
• Have 1+ years of experience with implementation and support of large, complex, IP-based networks or equivalent experience.
• Have 1+ years of experience with UNIX system administration or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of experience with scripting or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of experience with database administration/ SQL scripting or equivalent experience.
