Within this larger context, the Global Security Operations works closely with application, network, and server teams. To help ensure that Akamai systems meet the security and compliance needs of all of our stakeholders.Become a Security Subject Matter ExpertYou will be responsible for, Administration and alignment with Platform/Security engineering teams to ensure effective log ingestion and parsing to enhance Correlation and orchestration use cases.As a Senior Security Engineer , you will be responsible for:
• Managing SIEM and SOAR solutions, Specifically, Splunk
• Implementing and supporting Akamais internal use of Akamai developed Zero Trust products.
• Installing and supporting information security tools and systems used by Akamais internal Security Operations Center (SOC).
• Supporting security incidents as an escalation; providing technical leadership in support of Akamais internal SOC.
• Reporting on status and continuous improvement regularly.
Do what you loveTo be successful in this role you will:
• Have Experience of 7-10 years in Security operations and Information Security. Security related certification like Splunk certification, CEH, CCNA and SANS
• Have knowledge of Linux shell scripting
• Have functional software development knowledge of multiple languages including at least: Python, Java, and JavaScript.
• Have solid understanding and interest in internet technologies and fundamental protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, and HTTP.
• Have experience and familiarity with some combination of intrusion detection systems, layer 3/4/7 firewalls, SIEM tools, vulnerability management, and incident response.
• Have experience with security standards and frameworks including one or more of the following: PCI, ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST/DoD.
