Job Description

As a Solution Architect at Comcast, you will be responsible for leading, developing, and mentoring a team of Solution Architects. You will collaborate with Professional Services leadership to define and shape the direction and evolution of the Professional Services Team. Global collaboration with other regional Heads of Solution Architecture will be essential to establish and maintain global standards for Architecture teams. Your role will involve driving consistency and scalability of Professional Services solutions, ensuring clarity of Architectural solution designs in various areas such as IPTV, OTT Platform, VOD, DRM, CAS, CMS, and CDN. You will identify initiatives that drive quality and consistency within the Architecture team and support and maintain the culture that underpins the values and success of the organization. Additionally, you will support the sales and pre-sales team with RFIs and RFPs, proactively engage with the product organization to ensure customer requests are considered and tracked, and collaborate with the regional management team to support driving high performing Agile teams.Key Responsibilities:- Leadership, development, and mentorship of a team of Solution Architects- Define and shape the direction and evolution of the Professional Services Team in collaboration with Professional Services leadership- Establish and maintain global standards for Architecture teams through global collaboration- Drive consistency and scalability of Professional Services solutions- Ensure clarity of Architectural solution designs in various areas such as IPTV, OTT Platform, VOD, DRM, CAS, CMS, and CDN- Identify initiatives to drive quality and consistency within the Architecture team- Support and maintain the organizational culture that underpins the values and success of the organization- Support the sales and pre-sales team with RFIs and RFPs- Proactively engage with the product organization to ensure customer requests are considered and tracked- Collaborate with the regional management team to support driving high performing Agile teamsQualifications Required:- Bachelors Degree (Required)- 17 years experience in managing highly talented, high-performing teams with an ethos of continuous improvement at their core- Client-facing consulting and customer experience- Track record of developing talent- Excellent verbal and written communication skills- Professional experience in architecting/operating SaaS solutions built on cloud platforms- Strong sense of responsibility and ownership- Strong customer-first mentality- Ability to work independently within a strong team environment- Ability to quickly grasp and distinctly explain technological and business concepts- Experience with Agile software development methodologies- Design and development of complex applications, especially SOA patterns and web services, SDK and API design- Software engineering experience, preferably with Python, Java, and/or C#.NET- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerization technology- Track record of delivering solutions utilizing public cloud (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP)- Experience delivering media solutions for the public internet highly regarded- Digital media management experience, ideally in video processing and deliveryIn addition to the above qualifications, Comcast provides an array of benefits to support you physically, financially, and emotionally through the big milestones and in your everyday life.
