Job Description

    * Duties and Responsibilities - Be the custodian of the local media management activities and driving a positive narrative for the brand customers channel partners and the stakeholders - Be well entrenched with the local media connects to drive the narrative organically - Be the eyes and ears for any local media related developments or information that may have an impact on the reputation of the organisation brand customers and other stakeholders - To understand and report on the pulse of the media in the region sensitivities and accordingly suggest relevant topics/ story pegs to drive positive narratives in the local media - Proofreading vernacular press releases and disseminating to garner maximum coverage in all media - Organizing media invites press conference for local events such as dealer tie ups partnerships CSR activities etc. - Previous experience in understanding and managing reputational crises - Be the front end for any branch/cutometer level crisis involving media - Continuously building and strengthening relationships with big medium small and emerging local media outlets (not limited to traditional PR channels) - Maintaining an updated repository of the local media database channels (as mentioned above or more) and building relationships with them - Preparing reports of press release coverage dossiers media queries media rounds crisis management- weekly monthly quarterly - Preparing quarterly PR plans for the said regions aligned to the broader PR objectives and business goals and delivering up on the same - Garnering positive media sentiment of the brand in the region - Conducting media dipstick to understand the sentiment of the brand - Coordinating with the larger team for uniform messaging - Should have strong stringer connects - Analyzing the trends and ensuring proactive story placements for our given themes,* Experience with prior media management and crisis handling - Be aware of the end to end process of crisis management and crisis communication - Be well connected with local media and strong stringer ecosystem - Be aware of social media channels and tracking crises stories and local brand chatter - Excellent MS Office skills (Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Word) - Candidate should have good experience in identifying crisis and crisis management - Be adept with media monitoring and media reporting activities - Be self-motivated and own the mandate for the region from driving to delivery - Should be able to work in a high delivery turnaround timeline and be able to handle crises situations - High attention to details, ability to work in a self-directed, fast-paced, results-oriented environment - The ability to complete assigned work under the allotted timeline and should have the mindset to adhere to processes and policies - Be eager and a fast learner to pick up usage of media monitoring tools for timely reporting, collaboration and resolution - The ability to analyze the problem statement and come up with a solution for the same
