Job Description

The department is responsible for the design and integrity of the composite panels that cover the nacelle, protecting it from the elementsResponsibilities
    • Define technical scope packages, 3P estimates and detailed technical plan (level C)
    • Make sure Level C Plans (EPICs and Tasks) are updated on a daily basis by the delivery team
    • Leads, executes and/or delegates the technical work within project scope
    • Ensure project specific alignment of interfaces and functionality with other modules and value chain
    • Decide on tradeoffs in module/submodule/interfaces design across module/submodule/interfaces to meet targets on performance and cost
    • Drive feasibility studies on projects for creating the business case
    • Support the PM with inputs for the project business case
    • Responsible for module/project level documentation and deliverables
    • Ensure compliance to VWtM
    • Prepare and drive module design reviews, peer-reviews and technical reviews
    • Conduct lessons learned together with PM involving FLs, and other relevant participants
    • Define and maintain the technical risk on the project
    • Ensure technical readiness for the full-submodule including the Value Chain
    Qualifications
    • Masters degree in mechanical engineering or bachelors degree in mechanical engineering and or equivalent.
    • Minimum 6 to 10 years of work experience preferably within wind industry
    • Experince in handling / leading a project is desired
    • Good knowledge in FEA Analysis, composite material behavior analysis would be an added advantage.
    • Good knowledge Windchill, PDM process
    • Good understanding of ECM & change management process
    • Experience with composite design and development background is added advantage.
    • Knowledge in composite materials & manufacturing process
    • Knowledge in Systems engineering & fundamentals of wind turbine design and guidelines.
    • Good knowledge in DFMEA and having experience
    Competencies
    • Have an outgoing and enthusiastic personality, able to motivate your team through constructive criticism and understanding.
    • Quickly pick up on the array of software tools and processes we currently use in our workflow.
    • Have a good understanding of Engineering fundamentals and design knowledge in order to efficiently communicate with our team and stakeholders.
    • Develop innovative solutions to the problems we face, up to and including introduction of new tools and processes into our Agile workflow.
    • Have a solid understanding of composites panels design & development
    • Efficiently communicate with the Engineers & technical leads.
    • Have the patience to listen to, understand and respect your colleagues
    • Able to create design documentations DVRE , DVPR , DVPL, Requirement specification , DFMEA
    • Like to work with complex engineering problems and have a creative approach to new tasks
    • Experience with windchill and Jira
    • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., Scrum)
    • Project Management or business education/experience
