Assistant Manager IT Infrastructure Department Finance & IT Level / Grade M1 Reporting To Senior Manager-IT Reportees Direct: Nil / Outsourced Organisational Chart: Key Purpose of the Job (Position Summary) CEAT is setting the state of art new Plant at Chennai. This position Responsible for the implementation and operations of all technology infrastructures which includes data center, network and server services, service monitoring, user support/help desk, workstation management, servers, storage, MES Infrastructure and related software s for Chennai plant operations. Operationally responsible for ensuring the availability, integrity, and security for all IT systems and infrastructure. CEAT uses MES applications extensively at all its plants. This position is responsible to provide IT infrastructure and network support for MES Project and operations. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

KEY ACTIVITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Operational Networks and Hardware Management
• Monitor installation / configuration, operation, maintenance and upkeep of all IT hardware, network infrastructure, server infrastructure, data communications, telecommunications systems and ensure maximum uptime of network
• Oversee the overall capacity utilization of Server/hardware environment ensuring it is optimized to meet business requirements
• To prepare feasibility studies for infrastructure up gradation and support the central team in gathering user requirements / details
• Management of Firewall and other network devices.
Management of Servers and Data Centres:
• Accountable for server management, networks (local and wide area networks), all terminals (desktops, laptops, printers, , etc.), databases, storage, backups, and the data centers
• Monitor the disaster recovery setup and enterprise backup schedules and effectively implement the Disaster recovery and backup management plan.
IT Operations:
• Responsible for managing overall IT day to day operations to improve infrastructure costs, performance and end user satisfaction.
• Provide user support for technical problems, troubleshooting IT hardware issues, resolution or escalation.
• Ensure proper adherence to IT Ticket management systems
• Provide SAP L1 support to all users and ensure that higher level issues are escalated to appropriate authorities and dealt with as per agreed SLA
• Ensure that all IT issues are effectively logged, tracked and users are constantly updated on the progress of the IT issues logged by them
• Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs
• Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions.
• Perform daily backup operations, preventive maintenance, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created.

• Apply OS patches and firmware upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure / add new services as necessary.
• FMS management and handle user escalation for Hardware support.
• IT incident management pending call review and resolution.
• Managing and installation VM (Hyper V) ,RAID configuration & maintenance of Windows 2003,2008 R2,2012 R2 Servers, Symantec Endpoint Protection Anti-Virus servers, Backup servers and other peripherals on multiple platforms.
• Support plant operation for MIS calls on daily basis.
• Inventory Management of IT Assets.
• Coordination between all the third party vendors for call resolution
Asset management and security
• Assist Manager-IT Infrastructure in procurement of IT assets hardware and software by coordinating with vendors and documenting user requirements from a technical perspective
• Keep a track of all IT Assets Software licenses and Hardware across the organization, ensure that they are renewed as per the agreement being compliant with CEAT IT policy
• Review data access and security measures implemented, track attempts to breach data integrity and ensure all security loopholes are addressed as per defined guidelines
Education and Experience Required
• 5+ years of IT Infrastructure, FMS/ Asset management and Project Management experience
• Has a good understanding of the SAP and Plant MES and Network System
• Hands on Project Planning skills
• Experience with a manufacturing company is desirable
• System and Network administration
Education: BE/ B Sc - Diploma in Computer Technology/ Post Graduate Diploma in ITCCNA/ Equivalent Network certification will be added advantage Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience,
