Job Description

Skillets required

  • Good understanding of OSI layer, TCP/IP stack, TCP, UDP operation
  • Good working experience of multi-vendor network products - Switches, Routers, Firewalls & Load balancers
  • Understanding and Hands-on experience on Switching technologies Spanning Tree protocol, Port-channelling, Stacking, Multi-chassis Switching
  • Understanding and Hands-on experience on Layer 3 technologies IPv4, IPv6, ARP, Routing protocols - EIGRP, OSPF, BGP & Multicast
  • Knowledge in MPLS technologies Layer 3 MPLS VPN
  • Understanding and Hands-on experience in security technologies IPSEC VPN, SSL VPN, Firewall
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies Hypervisor ESXi, Hyper-V, KVM & Virtual switches
  • Knowledge of public cloud solutions AWS, Azure
  • Design, develop and deliver technical solutions based on products and solutions
  • Perform cross functional trainings and KT sessions
  • Analyze, diagnose, and repair network and service outages and incidents. Simulating network incidents in LAB to identify root cause
  • Good understanding and working experience on Datacentre Network Build, Capacity planning & Network Optimization
Essential skillset required
  • Good understanding and working experience in NFV
  • Knowledge in Openstack
  • Knowledge in SD-WAN, overlay technologies VXLAN, NVGRE
  • Knowledge in CDN Technology
  • Knowledge in NMS tools Nimsoft, NagiOS and Zabbix
  • Good understanding of HTTP, SSL/TLS, FTP and network relation with applications
  • Should have experience in testing and evaluating new features and products
  • Should have hands on in multi OEM environments
  • Strong oral, written, communication, documentation, and presentation skills
  • Should have a strong business acumen to understand complex business requirements of different enterprise clients
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for network planning, design, and optimization activities
  • Take lead role in projects, architecture, and support (Technology SME, Tier 3 resource)
  • Participate plan, recommend, and develop strategies and direction for network infrastructure solutions using current and emerging technologies
  • Drive evaluation of new hardware for new features and technology adoption
  • Drive timely delivery of network infrastructure projects and operations handover
  • Analyse history of network related P1 incidents and do preventive measures
