Job Description

*As an Associate Engineer, you will have the opportunity to learn from and contribute to a cooperative team in the design, detailing processes. In this entry-level engineering position, you will build your technical expertise while learning about the product . You will also build your professional network, engage with peers and receive guidance from mentors in the field.Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: In this role, you will also deepen your knowledge base of Caterpillar s products, technologies, processes, services and systems, which you will use to:

  • Create, review and check group, assembly and piece part models, drawings and notices for completeness of information, accuracy, and conformance to Corporate Product and Process Standards (CPPS), 1E Specifications, and other standards as requested.
  • Ensure EDS data adhere to Corporate Product and Process Standards.
  • Accountable for delivering projects by effectively utilizing the flexible resources.
  • Ensure quality self-check is done & ensure the engineering drawing readiness for checking / releasing.
  • Develop/ Implement cycle time reduction & quality improvement ideas in the project being handled.
  • Accountable for improving FTR / Fundamental errors towards the target of 95% EDR goal.
  • Communicate issues detected and suggestions for changes to lead Engineer/ process partner.
  • Look for learning opportunities on technical aspects and share the best practices/ lessons learnt.
  • Be available to business units and individual engineers as a source of information for all issues relating to drawing
  • Communicate results, issues to the team & collaborate with lead Engineers as a team.
  • Closely work with the Lead Engineer on identifying potential areas of training and development for the team. (Offshore/ onsite) and share the bottlenecks if any while execution.
