Job Description

The Role Responsibilities

  • Business Analysis and requirements gathering for key deliverables within the CTIR project
  • Support on-shore change lead in managing the Change Book of work.
  • Support on-shore change lead right from planning until execution is completed for all Tax Data Mart UAT runs.
  • Lead and support in successful UAT sign offs.
  • Manage BAU changes for all systems that impact Tax Reporting applications by co-ordinating with the FT change governance program.
  • Acquire knowledge of the various business segments / systems Global, Regional and Local footprints and awareness of the functional roles and their interaction in applicable business processes;
  • Highlight risks and issues, suggest mitigations and resolution plans, manage and actively monitor them to reduce the likelihood of occurrence;
  • Absorb large volumes of information from multiple sources to understand and prioritise tasks across multi-disciplinary (data, technology, tax, compliance, etc) project.
  • Liaising with the Tech Support Team in configuring the mapping details to ensure completeness in sourcing client tax information data in to the banks strategic data warehouse, Enterprise Database Management (EDM). Provide the necessary updates to stakeholders/Project working groups on a regular basis.
  • Hand over the activities to be carried over in BAU once a UAT release is completed, including hand over of relevant documentation.
  • Be responsible for the collective team deliverables.
  • Engage in a positive and pro-active stakeholder management
  • Interact with Key Project team members/stakeholders to understand Regulatory Impact / Changes
  • Keep operating instructions documents up to date.

People / Resource Management

  • Build, manage, coach, develop and engage a team of high performing individuals.

Process and Service Management

  • Identify opportunities to remove process waste, engage in standardisation of various reporting packs and encourage, drive and support automation initiatives thereby reduce / remove the non-value adds in the process.
  • Establish robust control and governance on the process for every change implementation
  • Drive productivity and achieve cost efficiencies through continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Drive a culture to capture appropriate metrics for tracking actual hours/ standard hours/ errors etc
  • Ensure detailed documentation and it is up to date for all change processes

Targets and Budgets

  • Ownership of the assigned budget and management of across the reporting team
  • Ensure all queries for submitted reports are reverted within timelines.
Our Ideal Candidate
  • A Professional Degree with a preference in Business, Finance, Accountancy, Law or Taxation from a reputed institution with 10+ years experience.
  • Ability to accurately gather and document requirements and contribute in the providing detailed solutioning by working with technology team.
  • Experience in sourcing data from various system in to data warehouse.
  • Ability to provide in depth gap analysis on the existing data with business requirement.
  • Experience in writing SQL queries, ETL and data warehouse analytics
  • Proven ability to work within a team environment and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills preferably with domain knowledge across data standards and transaction processing related activities
  • Proven ability to understand business needs, across asset classes and with a front to back perspective.
  • Proven ability to work within a team environment and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders;
  • Confident and capable user of project software, including Visio, Excel and MPP
  • Ability to think laterally and critically, challenge status-quo and demonstrate innovative thinking;
  • Good working knowledge of international banking products, systems and/or processes is highly preferable;
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
