Job Description

tJob Title: AVP-Commercial Performance&Effectiveness Location: ChennaiThe role holder will be recognised as a technical expert in their area of expertise i.e. Internal Reporting. The role holder will undertake tasks that cross SBU / Cluster within Cards and Payments (Primarily Barclays Payments) and will produce regular analysis of key business issues to support the delivery of business strategy and performance. Responsible for enhancing existing processes, reporting and controls whilst ensuring the flawless execution of BAU. Driving through efficiencies and process improvements standardising processes across SBU s where possible and through various transformation initiatives including dashboarding using new age tools.What will you be doing Responsible for timely and accurate reporting for Barclays Payments business under Commercial Performance & Effectiveness team Monthly Performance Insight support Lead and management of running core performance reporting and analysis activity across Barclays Payments for both Issuing and Acceptance, including provision of insightful and meaningful business performance commentary Performance reporting support Ownership of key commercial reporting deliverables to support key business meetings such as Monthly Business Reviews, Performance Boards etc, together with related business analytics. Process enhancement Active review of core reporting processes to streamline and increase governance and control Reporting tools Proactively identify opportunities to use new reporting tools where their use would benefit the business Enhance product and channel level performance view and dashboards to support key commercial stakeholders Own and be responsible for queries raised on all output/deliverables Supporting ad-hoc requests ensuring that we meet high standards to provide a timely response to all queries Ensure strong processes are in place with strong control environment, adhered timeline in order to deliver accurate information in a timely manner and to the highest standards, allowing time for review by line manager and finance management. Support Development / Transformation of internal reporting suite and MI using excel and advanced Dashboarding tools like Tableau, Alteryx etc Adhere to all the IR Controls and develop and implement robust controls mechanism in all processes managedWhat we re looking for:Technical: Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills o Essential: Intermediate Excel skills with an ability to both understand how intermediate level formulae work (VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, SUMPRODUCT) and be able to build new workbooks to streamline processes Good PowerPoint skills, understanding how to use PowerPoint alongside Excel The ability to learn how to use new tools, such as Tableau o Desirable use of data visualisation tools such as Tableau for monthly reporting Be able to manage multiple stakeholders effectively Be able to communicate effectively with the wider team to ensure effective delivery of outputs Commercial and Financial acumen Understanding of value based management techniques Problem solving, analytical skills and financial analysis Proven influencing, relationship building and communication skills with senior stakeholder managementSkills that will help you in the role:Accounting qualification / C.A. / MBA or similar Experience in Tableau, Alteryx, Python especially in the area of Reporting transformation, is desired Experience of card or financial services Broad business and industry knowledge and experienceWhere will you be working ChennaiBe More at Barclays At Barclays, each day is about being more as a professional, and as a person.
