Job Description

We are the BMC Analytics team, a highly functional, growing, business & outcome-focused agile team that enables business groups and departments within BMC. About You As the Lead BI Analyst, you would be responsible for the helping to develop and execution of BMC s Global Product Development analytics and reporting strategy identifying opportunities, providing insights and improving business effectiveness, working in conjunction with the Global Product Development Operations team. You will be focused on Product Development Operations analytics for providing business insights and driving effectiveness with statistical intelligence. You are highly agile and adept at managing confidential and sensitive information. You are a data-literate individual, passionate about data, analytics and keen to support businesses to make data-driven decisions. Key Responsibility/Role Expectation Execute against Product Development Analytics Roadmap Own and manage analytics and maintain database for Product Development Operations analytics Building out consolidated product release reporting across disparate product management teams to inform internal stakeholders of key elements of upcoming and recent releases (timing, key features, etc.) Creating automated KPI tracking of key products development metrics such as code quality, epics/stories released per Program Increment Plan Developing approach to tracking effort spent across key product development activities (new features, bug fixes, technical debt, etc.) Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and metrics to monitor, QA automation, Customer Find Defects, Release Velocity and Backlog, and Time and seasonality analytics with forecasting Build and maintain data pipeline from multiple project and product management platforms like Jira, Trello, Aha etc. Work with Technical & IT teams to ensure that infrastructure for analytics and reporting is robust and suitable to meet current and future needs Partner with business stakeholders in Product Operations, Customer Success, Sales Operations, Finance, Analytics team etc. Education & Professional Experience Bachelor s Degree in a Computer Field (Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, etc.) OR any relevant field e.g. (Finance, Economics, etc.) 5+ years of experience in developing product release reporting, product management KPIs tracking, and analyzing product development performance. 5+ years of experience working with data (e.g. SQL Server, Snowflake) & visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI) Knowledge of software development and maintenance life cycle and research and development process. Extensive understanding of product and project management tools like Jira, Trello, Asana, Aha, etc. Ability to articulate complex concepts in simple terms at all levels of the organization you are comfortable at Strategic & Operational levels Experience of working in a global environment and with global teams Experience in building and operationalizing Data Science solutions will be an added advantage Certification in Business Intelligence, Data Visualization, etc. will be an added advantage Experience in information security/privacy will be an added advantage,
