Job Description

As an Engineering and Construction Drafter at our company, you will be responsible for preparing basic to moderately complex engineering and construction drawings using intelligent modeling and/or Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) software. This includes creating multiple views, detail drawings, and general arrangement/layout drawings by accurately translating level of design (LOD) definitions. You will also utilize information from vendors, catalogs, and technical manuals to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the intelligent models and construction drawings. Some of your key responsibilities will include:- Verifying the integrity of intelligent models and plotting drawings- Assembling drawing packages and preparing transmittals- Managing files and distributing drawings- Making simple calculations to support engineering tasks- Coordinating specifications with drawings- Performing basic engineering calculations under direct supervisionTo qualify for this role, you should have:- High School diploma or equivalent with vocational technical training in basic CADD drafting technology and intelligent modeling- Minimum of 4 years of related experience- Willingness to travel domestically and/or internationally based on project requirementsPreferred qualifications include:- Degree or Diploma in Engineering- Experience with Architectural, Structural, or Mechanical drawings- Proficiency in developing equipment layout and site plan drawings- Ability to lead modeling-related tasks and coordinate with clients to meet project deadlines and budgetsAlthough no travel is currently required for this position, you may be expected to support field assignments as needed. If you are offered this position, background checks and drug testing may be conducted as part of the onboarding process.
