This in turn helps us to provide better support to our broad client base.ROLE PURPOSE:Specialized Risk Team (SRT) focuses on CDD related tasks whose characteristics include one or more of the following:Niche activity or client type affecting targeted client populationRequire specialised support in risk assessment completion for relevant committee submission for approvalRequire in-depth technical knowledge for risk identification or due diligence or risk assessmentInvolves intensive training to understand the activityKEY RESPONSIBILITIES :Principal accountabilities will include:Apply subject-matter expertise to validate the risk exposure identified within the CDD lifecycle and articulate next stepsValue-add to CDD lifecycle by providing clarity & transparency of the risks & mitigants to aid risk acceptance / rejection decisionImprove CDD quality and client experience by providing advisory support in documentation and information procurement to ensure right first timeEnsure the due diligence guidance is applied consistently across all network and based on most current, objective and verifiable information availableContribute to the development of consistent process and practices via the streamlining initiative leveraging existing group capabilitiesEnsure robust and effective governance of tasks and processes with reference to internal policy and external regulation ensuring day to day activities are in full compliance with guidelinesHighlight problems/bottlenecks and take initiative to suggest ideas to change and improve processesRepresent CDD in policy/procedures related forums and take a lead in implementing policy changesMaintain awareness of industry developments including change in regulations or standardsBuild and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholdersKnowledge / Skills / Experience Required:Graduation in Commerce, economics, finance or equivalent (E)In-depth AML knowledge and/or relevant certification (D)A focused individual who is an excellent communicator with good team skills, who has the ability to influence others by showing initiative and creativity. (E)Understanding of the Financial Services Industry and its various underlying products (D)Ability to manage pressure situations and maintain high degree of accuracy (E)Problem Solving Skills ability to think Out of the Box and independently work around issues that arise from time to time (E)Knowledge of the CDD/eCDD systems and processes and of the different requirements of certain countries desirable (D)Project Management capability particularly on Migration of Processes from other countries/regions (D)Fluent English written and verbal communication skills (E)Proactive approach, with the ability to multi-task (E)Flexibility in working hours (E)*(E): Essential; (D): DesirableKEY LIAISON:Reports to: SME Lead - GBS CET, with functional reporting to Global Head of Client Risk Management, CLDMDirect Reports: NoneIndirect Reports: NoneOther internal: CET teams, RMs / COBAM, FCC, and CDD Risk Managers,
