Job Description

  • Chief of Diagnostics shall also act as Chief of Radio-diagnostics. He shall also be Consultant for MRI.
  • Take Care of medical and administrative aspects so that responsibilities relating to the planning, recruitment, delegating and monitoring of all the doctors and paramedical personnel in the Dept.
  • Ensure that adequate doctors are available for patients for each diagnostic care delivery system.
  • Oversee the performance of the medical staff in the Dept.
  • Review the performance of the doctors in consultation with the head of departments, find out opportunities for growth and recommend compensation plan in consultation with the heads of departments.
  • Periodically check on the documentation of the reports to ensure that other related documents are properly maintained and sufficient.To independently perform diagnostic radiography, CT / Sonography including Gynaecological, Abdominal, Chest, and small parts including thyroid, testicular, breast, and soft tissue examinations.
  1. To evaluate clinical history in correlation with patient chart to select proper scanning technique to illustrate the presence or absence of diseases, lesions, malfunction or anomalies.
  2. To research and review prior studies, or other imaging studies, relating to currently requested exam. Relate that information to other Consultants when presenting the case for interpretation
  3. To recognize when additional scans or different positions are needed to fully illustrate the lesion; e.g. recognizing an unsuspected mass or lesion in the pancreas and taking additional images / views.
  4. To recognize when hard to visualize organs have not been properly imaged and changes patient position or scan techniques improve their illustration.
