Job Description

the corrosion control program for the Pipeline(s) to insure compliance with internal procedures as well as applicable state and federal regulations. Responsible for day to day operation and maintenance of the cathodic protection (CP) systems and data acquisition. Coordinate and oversee the CP surveys, coating applications and provide repair recommendations to the Supervisor of Corrosion Control. Oversee third party contractors performing corrosion protection services. Provide technical support to the pipelines(s).

  • Provide technical support to the pipeline to insure pipeline operations, cathodic protection and other corrosion protection systems are operating properly and safely.
  • Perform inspections of and routine and breakdown maintenance on corrosion protection equipment and coatings. This includes support on electrical projects.
  • Review and maintain CP/Corrosion data acquisition system. Upload data to the central database at required intervals.
  • Review CP survey reports and provide recommendations to Supervisor of Corrosion Control. With the recommendations of the Supervisor of Corrosion Control perform/oversee repair and upgrades to the cathodic protection systems.
  • Manage contractors performing coating work, CP surveys, maintenance and/or the installation of CP systems. Write scopes of work for the above.
