Job Description

    This TM department is responsible for technology roadmaps and product definition. It guides the design and engineering of the specific components, reaching suppliers and internal stakeholders - turbine integration, procurement, assembly, quality - to provide best-in-class solutions from our teams locations in Denmark, Portugal, India and China. As cost-out lead engineer, you will report to the Converter & Electrical Module Design Owner. The goal of the Cost-Out Lead function is to organize and maintain a pipeline of cost-out ideas for the C&E Module, with sufficient monetary value, to match the product cost targets and release schedule, for which you will further ensure timely maturation and certainty in ideas.Responsibilities
    • An always up-to-date overview of cost-out idea pipeline maintained in database
    • An up-to-date overview of historical cost-out achievements from ideas list
    • Engage with Turbine Product Design Owners to understand schedule of turbine variant release
    • Engage with Category Management Teams to identify list of ideas and receive commitment to procure prioritized ideas
    • Engage with people managers to secure staffing
    • Engage with design teams/ functional leaders on maturing the ideas (technical feasibility)
    • Engage with project technical leads to transfer cost-out items to become implementation project scope
    Qualifications
    • Bachelors / Masters in Electrical / Similar engineering specialization
    • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience, including product cost engineering
    • if able to navigate in tools like SAP is good to have
    • Used to work according to internal procedures for product development
    • Experience in stakeholder management spanning full value chain
