The incumbent should be at least a graduate with minimum 2 years experience in health & wellness industry. You should possess strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills along with good knowledge of various types of exercise, food, and health concepts. The wellness counsellors main job responsibilities include providing counseling to clients so that various aspects of health can be improved. This counseling may be done on an individual or group basis. You will cover topics related to nutrition, exercise, and reducing stress. You will also help to create an individual plan that the patient should undergo. You should be aware of the client s needs regarding ability and health, in order to create a safe and plausible plan. This may involve working with the patient s medical providers at times. You will primarily operate out of the clinic but sometimes it will be required to physically travel to customers place to administer services, and other times to provide services virtually through the internet. You should also be open to working on weekends and for long working hours.
