Job Description

    We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Credit Head to lead the credit team and manage the overall credit risk of unsecured business loans. As the Credit Head, you will play a key role in shaping the credit policies, managing risk, overseeing the loan evaluation process, and ensuring the quality of the loan portfolio. You will be responsible for building a high-performing team and ensuring that credit decisions align with the companys strategic objectives.Key Responsibilities:Credit Risk Management: Establish and monitor credit risk management frameworks for evaluating, assessing, and approving unsecured business loans, ensuring an optimal balance between risk and business growth.Credit Policy Formulation & Review: Develop, implement, and continuously refine the credit policies, ensuring compliance with internal guidelines, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.Loan Assessment and Approval: Lead the credit evaluation process for unsecured business loans, ensuring that all loan proposals undergo thorough financial analysis, risk evaluation, and due diligence.Team Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor the credit underwriting team, driving performance, efficiency, and professional growth. Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.Portfolio Monitoring & Reporting: Regularly monitor the loan portfolios performance, identify potential risks or delinquency trends, and take necessary actions to mitigate losses. Report on portfolio quality to senior management.Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Work closely with other departments, including Sales, Legal, and Operations, to ensure smooth loan processing and improve customer experience.Compliance & Regulatory Adherence: Ensure the credit processes adhere to regulatory guidelines and compliance standards, including those set by the RBI and other regulatory bodies.Strategic Contribution: Contribute to the companys strategic direction by providing input on credit risk strategies, market opportunities, and business growth initiatives related to unsecured business loans.Skills & Qualifications:Education: Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification in finance or banking is preferred.Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in credit management or underwriting, particularly in unsecured business loans. Experience in managing credit teams is essential.
