DAM/BARRAGE DESIGN EXPERT Age 28 Years - 35 Years Location CHENNAI Qualification & Experience : ENGINEERING POST GRADUATE - CIVIL/STRUCTURAL ( Exp.7 yrs to 11 yrs ) Responsibilities : Experience in design of Irrigation projects which includes (i) Earthen dams, Spill Ways, Barrages, Weirs, Gated and ungated Regularots etc., (ii) Design of gravity main canals, Distributory canal network planning and design up to minors and sub - minors including all in line canal structures such as Cross - Regulators, Canal syphons, Escapes, Cross Drainage works & Cross Masonry Works ( Bridges, Super - passages, Canal/Drainage Syphons, Aquaducts, Box culverts etc.,), (iii) River Hydraulics River flood estimations, scour depth estimations, conversant with CWC norms and its various Reports (iv) Design of piped distribution irrigation system and / or civil structural design of Lift Irrigation projects which includes Pump Houses, Raising Main Crossing Structures on Roads, Railways & Rivers/Streams, Valve Chambers, thrust blocks / anchor blocks and water retaining structures. (v) Should be conversant in using relevant canal and general civil structural IS and IRC codes of practices (vi) Should be conversant in using Survey of India Topo Sheets and contour maps (vii) hands on experience in design softwares like STAAD Pro, E - Tabs and familiarity in developing the Design - Work sheets in MS - Excel. (viii) hands on experience in Surface modelling viz. Civil 3D, E - survey, Mx - Canal, Auto - plotter, CANSE, Cal Quan, Civil Infra any one or more Software - hands on experience is desirable. ,
