Job Description

What you ll be doing :

  • You ll provide business intelligence that helps our team to evaluate complex issues and make smart decisions.
  • You ll partner with your internal clients to understand what they need to know, and then design the research plan to get answers.
  • You ll also design new systems and programs to gather and unleash the power of big data.
  • You will generate insights that will help propel our business forward.
  • Collaborating with others to identify analytic requirements and devise the best possible solution.
  • Analyzing complex operational, economic and accounting data to quantify the competitive business segments and evaluate potential operational changes.
  • Defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts and drawing conclusions.
  • Developing innovative strategies.
  • Developing models to predict future outcomes.
  • Consulting with stakeholders and senior leaders on insights, trends, and data-driven solutions.

You will also:

  • Identify customer habits and traits.
  • Coordinate among stakeholders and understand, evaluate, and prioritize use cases, size of the opportunity, and understanding the impact and return on investment.
  • Examine, interpret, and report the results of analytical initiatives to stakeholders in leadership, technology, sales, marketing, and product teams.
  • Ensure the accuracy of data and deliverables of reporting employees with comprehensive policies and processes.
  • Motivate and performance management team members.
  • Partner with support departments to ensure the smooth functioning of the SOI team.
  • Review work produced by the team and provide guidance, coaching, and development.
  • Align team members goals to those of the larger organization.
  • Facilitate ongoing one-on-one meetings with team members.

You ll need to have:

  • Bachelor s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Analyzed big data, distilled insights, and made business recommendations.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree in computer science, information systems, or a business-related field.
  • Presented complex ideas and insights to a variety of audiences.
  • Built and deployed OLAP cubes with SSAS, or worked with Teradata SQL.
  • Experience with statistical analysis, quantitative analysis, forecasting/predictive analytics, multivariate testing.

We also prefer:

  • A master s degree in marketing or business analytics.
  • Five or more years of customer analytics experience solving for business problems in sales and marketing.
  • Two or more years of experience in digital and sales insights.
  • Experience partnering closely with the business to solve difficult analytic problems, both tactically and strategically, using conventional analytics, data science, and marketing strategy.
  • Exposure to the U.S. telecommunications landscape with a focus on marketing strategy, competitive intelligence, and consumer retention tactics.
  • Skill in SQL language for the purposes of querying and data manipulation.
  • Knowledge of analytic tools (e.g., R, Python).
  • Experience with the intersection of analytics and sales/marketing.
