Job Description

    Job Title: Senior Process Engineer - CommissioningLocation: ChennaiIndustry: Water Treatment Plants (WTP)We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer with 20 years of experience in the Water Treatment Plant (WTP) industry.The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and commissioning water treatment processes to ensure efficiency, sustainability, and compliance with environmental regulations.Key Responsibilities:Process Design & Optimization: Develop and optimize water treatment processes, ensuring they meet operational requirements and regulatory standards.Commissioning: Lead the commissioning of WTP projects, ensuring all systems are fully operational and meet specified performance criteria.Project Management: Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of projects within budget.Technical Support: Provide technical expertise during the project lifecycle, including troubleshooting and resolving process-related issues.Documentation: Prepare detailed process flow diagrams, technical specifications, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).Compliance & Safety: Ensure all processes comply with environmental and safety regulations. Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures.Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with clients, contractors, and suppliers to align project goals and deliver high-quality results.Training & Development: Mentor junior engineers and provide training on process operations and best practices.Qualifications:Bachelors or Masters degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.20 years of relevant experience in the WTP industry, with a strong focus on commissioning and process optimization.Proficiency in process simulation software and modelling tools.Strong understanding of water treatment technologies, including filtration, disinfection, and chemical dosing.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to collaborate in a team environment.Knowledge of regulatory standards and environmental compliance related to water treatment.
