Job Description

    Job Title: Design EngineerCompany: Tako Mega Construction Pvt. Ltd.Job SummaryTako Mega Construction Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Design Engineer with experience in industrial and factory construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and coordinating engineering drawings, fabrication drawings, steel structure designs, and construction layouts to ensure smooth project execution and compliance with project specifications.Roles & Responsibilities
    • Prepare, review, and modify detailed engineering and fabrication drawings for steel structures and industrial construction projects.
    • Study and interpret soft copy drawings, technical specifications, design documents, and project requirements.
    • Develop and review steel plate drawings, structural fabrication drawings, and assembly drawings as per project standards.
    • Prepare floor layout drawings, foundation drawings, and construction-related design documents.
    • Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, production teams, and clients to ensure design accuracy and project feasibility.
    • Analyze design requirements and provide practical engineering solutions for factory construction projects.
    • Ensure all fabrication drawings are technically correct and suitable for manufacturing and site installation.
    • Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) and material take-offs based on approved drawings.
    • Conduct drawing revisions and maintain document control as per project requirements.
    • Verify dimensions, tolerances, and material specifications before releasing drawings for fabrication and construction.
    • Support the site team by resolving design-related issues during fabrication and erection activities.
    • Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements.
    • Coordinate with fabrication workshops and construction teams to achieve smooth project execution.
    • Participate in project meetings and provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Maintain records of drawings, revisions, approvals, and project documentation.
    Required Skills & Qualifications
    • Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
    • Strong knowledge of fabrication drawings and structural steel detailing.
    • Experience in factory construction and industrial building projects.
    • Ability to study and interpret soft drawings, technical drawings, and engineering specifications.
    • Hands-on experience in steel plate drawing preparation and structural design.
    • Proficiency in floor plan drawing, layout design, and construction drawings.
    • Proficient in AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, SolidWorks, or other relevant design software.
    • Good understanding of fabrication processes, welding details, and steel structure erection.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams.
    Preferred Experience
    • Experience in industrial, factory, warehouse, or steel structure construction projects.
    • Knowledge of structural steel fabrication, erection methodology, and project execution.
    • Experience in preparing shop drawings, GA drawings, and fabrication detailing.
