Job Description

    Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer with 4 to 6 years of experience in Jigs & Fixtures. As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing jigs, fixtures, and tooling for manufacturing processes. The role is based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India and is a full-time position.Location:Irungattukottai,ChennaiExperience:5 to 8 YearsPackage: upto 7.5 LacsQualifications and Skills
    • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
    • 4 to 6 years of experience in designing jigs, fixtures, and tooling
    • Proficiency in CAD/CAM software packages, such as SOLIDWORKS
    • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and material selection
    • Familiarity with SPM (Special Purpose Machines) and GPM (General Purpose Machines)
    • Good understanding of product development and design validation processes
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
    • Attention to detail and ability to interpret technical drawings
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
    Roles and Responsibilities
    • Design and develop jigs, fixtures, and tooling for manufacturing processes
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and manufacturing engineering
    • Conduct feasibility studies and analyze design proposals
    • Create detailed design specifications and technical documentation
    • Utilize CAD/CAM software packages to create 2D and 3D models
    • Perform design calculations and simulations
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
    • Optimize designs for cost, functionality, and manufacturability
    • Collaborate with suppliers and external vendors to source materials and components
    • Support the manufacturing team in the assembly and testing of jigs and fixtures
    • Troubleshoot and resolve design issues during prototyping and production phases
    • Stay updated with the latest developments in jigs and fixtures design and manufacturing technologies
    • Proficient in CAD/CAM ,Solidworks & other Design based Simulation Software specialised in SPM & GPM/s Jigs,Fixtures,Toolings and also New Product Development.
