Job Description

    Senior Checker Roles & Responsibilities:
    • Expert in AISC 15th/16th Editions, RCSC specifications, OSHA, and IBC (esp. Misc. Steel).
    • Review and extract relevant data from other trades (e.g., Joist & Deck, Precast, Tilt-up, HVAC, Sprinklers, Elevators, Millwork) that impact steel scope.
    • Coordinate with other trades to reflect steel-related changes in their drawings.
    • Identify clashes, raise RFIs/DSKs/clarifications using contract drawings and models.
    • Draft professional emails to address deliverables, client queries, and coordination issues.
    • Track project status using reports/logs, manage clear/pending steel in the model.
    • Predict bottlenecks, plan workload, and inform TL/PM in advance to avoid delays.
    • Ensure continuous workflow by coordinating with drafting teams for timely submissions.
    • Justify delays with valid reasons and forecast resource needs.
    • Guide Junior Checkers and detailers to improve quality and meet deadlines.
    • Assist in training sessions and mentor team members to reduce recurring errors.
    • Participate in BIM/Client meetings and raise project-critical queries.
    • Communicate confidently in English, with strong comprehension of drawings, emails, and recordings.
    • Skilled in Bluebeam for documentation and markups.
    • Capable of root cause analysis of detailing issues and implementation of preventive actions.
    Senior Detailer Modeling Roles & Responsibilities:Extract relevant info from other trades (Joist & Deck, Precast, HVAC, etc.) impacting steel.Proficient in AISC 15th/16th Editions, RCSC, OSHA, and IBC (Misc. Steel).Coordinate with trades to incorporate steel-related changes.Identify conflicts and raise RFIs/DSKs/clarifications using contract drawings and models.Model complex structures using advanced Tekla tools and techniques.Create/edit templates, reports, and custom components with full control.Capable of repairing and maintaining model integrity.Ensure all work aligns with client standards throughout the project.Guide and mentor Junior Modelers to meet deadlines and quality targets.Support TL/PM in training sessions and knowledge sharing.Identify and correct recurring detailing/modeling errors.Analyze modeling issues and implement preventive measures.
