Project Role ExpectationsThis role is for Node JS developer also having some basic understanding of front-end technologies.This person would be working in the DevOps scrum team which has the main objective of solving DevOps related business problem for the existing end users and potential customers while maintaining the best Engineering practices and quality assurance.Job DescriptionBrief Summary of Role:We are looking for a Node.js Developer responsible for managing Wipro scustom Node.js packages and the Node.js based command-line application.Candidate s primary focus will be to enhance and maintain existing Node.js packages and develop new packages -ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end.Candidate is responsible for integrating the front-end elements built by co-workers into the Electron-based desktop application. Therefore, a basic understanding of front-end technologies is necessary as well.Responsibilities:Must Have SkillsAdding new features to and maintaining (bug fixing) of existing Node.js custom packagesDeveloping new Node.js packagesAdding new features to and maintaining (bug fixing) of existing Node.js based command-line application (CLI)Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server side logicImplementation of security and data protectionIntegration of data storage solutions (databases, key-value stores, config files etc.)Writing Jest based unit and integration testsWriting reusable, testable, and efficient codeKeeping all code changes in version control (Git) at all timesOptional skills:Designs and implements the deployment and automated testing processes for client projects including build scripting and version controlOversees the deployment of code and metadata between multiple Salesforce orgsEnsures that change control and governance processes are upheld by the client and Wipro teamsAdvises the team on optimal design to facilitate deployments and implements manual changes as needed across environmentsJudges the tradeoffs with technology and feasibility and makes choices that fit the constraints of the project.Serves as the deployment and environment expert onWiproprojects focused on Salesforce.com -Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Community Cloud, Marketing Cloud and the App Cloud platform.Works directly with clients to negotiate the use of environments and timing of releases.Provides mentoring and guidance to other team members, including offshore team members.Education and Required Experience:Requires a Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related fieldStrong proficiency with JavaScript2+ years of Node.js experienceHands-on experience of working with Node.js promises and streamsKnowledge of creating custom Node.js modules and command-line applicationsExperience with Test Driven Development (TDD), writing and executing unit tests with a framework such as JestProficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as GitBasic understanding of front-end technologies, such as HTML5, and CSS3Optional skillsOne or more current Salesforce certifications (Development Lifecycle and Deployment Designer, Administrator/Advanced Administrator, Platform Developer 1, App Builder, Sales/Service Cloud)Knowledge of Salesforce Deployment Best Practices including Salesforce DX1+ years experience managing GIT version control repositories (including use of GitLab, Bitbucket, or GitHub)Experience with Continuous Integration or Deployment tools (including, but not limited to GitLab CI, Bitbucket Pipelines, Jenkins, AutoRabit, Copado or Gearset)Roles & Responsibilities:As a Senior Developer, you are responsible for development, support, maintenance and implementation of a complex project module. You should have good experience in application of standard software development principles. You should be able to work as an independent team member, capable of applying judgment to plan and execute your tasks. You should have in-depth knowledge of at least one development technology/ programming language. You should be able to respond to technical queries / requests from team members and customers.
