In this role, you will be responsible for guiding a team of sales associates in promoting the success of a multi-product go-to-market strategy for Red Hat. Youll report to the vice president of sales for the Western U.S. region and be closely involved in developing and implementing growth strategies and a comprehensive solutions approach to reach strategic customers for Red Hat. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business. Primary job responsibilities

  • Develop, coach, and mentor a sales team to grow business and promote effective sales strategies
  • Motivate and inspire your team while taking on competitors as Red Hat gains market share in enterprise markets
  • Guide the Sales team to achieve quarterly and annual revenue and growth targets by establishing sales goals and monitoring achievement
  • Maintain a close working relationship with other members of the regional leadership team and contribute to the strategic and tactical success of Red Hats core business and the company as a whole
Required skills
  • 10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience in a software organization
  • Proficiency in profit and loss management and marketing strategies that contribute to success
  • Experience managing a $50 million sales team
  • Demonstrated ability to use personal knowledge, processes, and solutions-selling strategies and methodologies to meet revenue growth objectives
  • Proven ability to guide and promote plan implementation targets
  • Relationship-oriented with a solid presence and proven ability to build credibility at all levels within a customer organization, including C-level executives
  • Creative approach to managing your team of sales professionals
  • Passionate with solid problem-solving skills
