General description The post holder is a junior but important member within the developmentdepartment. They are responsible for supporting the realisation of the departments strategic direction. The post holder will be expected to work with supervision and will have alimited degree of latitude in decision making. However, they will be expected to make decisions within the scopetheir role and will be held accountable for the outcomes of these. They are responsible for the qualityand throughput of their own work. They will develop their understanding of software development principles,patterns, practices and processes during the day-to-day tactical execution of their duty. They will benefit fromthe mentoring and the support of more senior members of the department in order to achieve their potential. Standard duties and responsibilities Competencies The post holder will operate at an entry level in the execution of thefollowing competencies: 1. Objectives The post holder will be responsible for the following: Support the realisation of our software engineering strategy, applicationarchitecture and component design as well as our engineering principals, practices and standards. With support from more senior developers, perform the engineering workstreams and/or projects to quality, and timeline in order to meet the demands of the business,stakeholders and customers alike. With support from more senior developers, design the application within thebounds of the tasks allocated to them. With support from more senior developers, provide work estimates at regularstages throughout the development process. Attend and support reviews, where technical solutions are presented tovarious functions including product owners, solution architecture, clinical design, information governanceand clinical safety. Follow best practice within their team to facilitate the delivery of qualityproducts according to current agreed levels of quality and standards.Title:Development Associate Controlled document page 2 of 3 Saved as: Development Associate Support innovation within the team to meet the changing demands of thebusiness and emerging industry trends & standards, such as agile and lean techniques. Contribute towards the assessment and appraisal of team members. Receive coaching and mentoring to aid continuous improvement. Identify any skill, resource and equipment deficiencies they may have. Meet with customers and stakeholders to understand requirements. Requirements Essential Academic Qualification: B.E/B.Tech, MCA with consistent academic performancefrom X, XII standards onwards. Experience: 0 - 3 Years. Professional Certifications Good Analytical and Problem solving skills Knowledge of C#, .NET platform - Basic to Intermediate Level Hands-on experience in building Business applications in .NET Stack. Good written and oral communication skills. Keen to learn and pick up new skills, passionate about software development,enthusiastic and innovative. Desirable Professional Certifications Knowledge of DB (MS-SQL), XML. Experience in Agile methodologies Experience within healthcare sector.Contacts and communications The post holder is accountable to the Development Director and takesengineering instruction from the Head of Software Engineering in respect to People, Process and Code. In order to perform their duties in addition to working alongside otherengineers and testers, the post holder will also be in regular contact with Solution Architects, Project Managers,Product Owners, Deployment, Hosted Services, Support, Training and Health Information personnel and otherstakeholders. Policy implementation The post holder has to comply will all the Policies (Security, Health andSafety, General) issued and updated from time-to-time by the Company. Administration The post holder is responsible for the following administrative tasks: Reporting on progress, issues and plans for work they are responsible for totheir team where required. Maintain and contributing to the development Wiki with technical bestpractice/methods. Completion of any activities required by departmental procedures. Security responsibilities The post holder has the following specific security duties: Ensure security of all departmental and project documentation. Ensure version control and backup of source code is maintained. Ensure personal backup of important files including E-mail folders.
