Job Description

Position Purpose & SummaryReporting to the CASC APAC EHS Lead, this position will be responsible for all aspects of EHS and risk management at all our South and SEA grain facilities and locations in India, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam, as well as our oil terminal in Pakistan. The incumbent will provide leadership in deployment and implementation of EHS programs, inspection and auditing, education and training of both contractors and employees, safety aspects of new construction projects and also work closely with the supply chain, commercial and operations teams. The incumbent is expected to be familiar with the EHS requirements of the locations and work closely with local regulators and community on communication, thereby maintaining Cargill s EHS standards. Principal AccountabilitiesEHS Strategy and Execution (30%) Develops and deploys EHS Strategy (including Achieve Zero Transformation strategies) at our SSEA grains facilities and oil terminal Identifies EHS risk, SIF (Serious Injury and Fatality) potentials, environmental risks and other incidents with a plan to address and eliminate uniformly Identifies, develops and obtains external certification as needed such as OSHAS 18001, ISO14001, ISO 9001 or other systems. Ensures all applicable country laws and regulations are met and EHS committees and Emergency Response teams are set up in compliance with local regulations Ensures all documentation and reporting are done on time Compliance and Regulatory (30%) Ensures EHS compliance & regulatory audits are performed and all incidents are investigated Conducts general conditions, SIF Inspection audits and Global EHS audits and implements required corrective actions. Completes all EHS reporting requirements timely and all incidents investigated using proper investigation techniques such as Taproot, Apollo Root Cause Analysis, Causal Tree or Fishbone technique Conducts training and development with the operations, commercial and supply chain teams involvement.EHS Culture Building (30%) Develops and deploys a proactive EHS culture and provide EHS Learning and Development to build competency on activity and task risk analysis. Upgrade company-wide proactive hazard recognition & elimination programs with an ability to manage existing hybrid warehousing, leased and/or owned models as well as construction project risk management Identify, mentor and coach location teams (both employees and contractors) on our EHS requirements and provide a shift to a proactive safety culture with constant follow ups and closures on activities such as near miss reports, behavior-based observations and programs Executes Cargill s EHS programs Taps on internal and external networks to bring/share best practices with our grain operations team Communication, Records and Reporting (10%) Communicates and updates all corporate EHS requirements (such as Enablon) and perform all EHS initiatives as directed. Compiles and submits all EHS performance reports, monthly & quarterly reports, resource efficiency, safety statistics, audits, location government reporting timely, Education, Experience, SkillsRequired Qualifications Undergraduate degree in health & Safety, environmental or Engineering Degree or equivalent Work experience of 7 to 10 years in a manufacturing environment, warehousing or bulk operations with 3 to 5 years of work experience in the area of EHS Strong EHS technical skills to understand the differences in OSHA requirements versus local regulations Ability to use Microsoft Tools in reporting Experience working in a multi-national company will be an added advantage. Effective analytical skills, collaborative, strong interpersonal skills and culturally-sensitive in working with people from different culturesPreferred Qualifications Good English verbal and written communication skills Ability to travel 50%-70% of the time to remote regions in India/Pakistan and our facilities in SEA
