Job Description

Job Title: Electrical Helper ShipbuildingJob Summary:Assist electricians and electrical technicians in the installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of electrical systems and equipment onboard ships and marine structures while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.Key Responsibilities:Assist electricians in cable pulling, cable laying, cable dressing, and cable termination activities.Support the installation of electrical equipment, lighting systems, panels, switches, and control systems.Carry tools, materials, and equipment to work locations.Assist in drilling, cutting, marking, and mounting electrical components.Help in testing and troubleshooting electrical systems under the supervision of electricians.Clean and maintain electrical tools, equipment, and work areas.Follow electrical drawings, work instructions, and supervisor directions.Assist in the inspection and maintenance of electrical installations.Ensure proper housekeeping and safe work practices at all times.Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and comply with shipyard safety regulations.Requirements:Basic education (SSLC or equivalent preferred).Previous experience in electrical work, shipbuilding, construction, or industrial projects is an advantage.Basic knowledge of electrical tools and materials.Physically fit and able to work at heights, in confined spaces, and onboard vessels.Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.Skills:Basic understanding of electrical installation practices.Good teamwork and communication skills.Ability to handle tools and materials safely.Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
