Job Description

Mission

  • Describe the principal mission of the position

  • Run Electromagnetic simulations in order to design and validate motor(DC or Brushless)/Actuator upon internal and/or external customer requests

Responsibilities

  • Highlight the main responsibilities
  • Run Electromagnetic simulation upon internal and/or external customer requests, in particular is able to calculate : torque, losses, forces,flux density,cogging,ripple,Hall effect sensor position angular error .
  • To propose the best design of each part of the motor/Actuator using Electromagnetic Simulation tool.
  • Magnets, Carbon brushes, Commutator, Lamination , Insulation
  • Criteria for optimization : cost, weight, heating, noise, manufacturability, packaging.
  • To document FEA/Analytical model results and recommend design changes, required tests, further analysis, etc
  • To support modeling results correlation versus experimental results
  • Manage the input data needed and deliveries in accordance with standard
  • For electronize motor (DC or Brushless) to work closely with electronic engineers (software and Hardware) to propose global solutions.
  • To work on magnetization tools to achieve the pattern of flux optimal for Noise and performances
  • To define, with the m tier motor team, mainly with Test-Prototype engineer, the DOE, to optimize the component/function.

Tools

  • Is able to run 2D and 3D simulation on Flux2D and Flux 3D Altair[Mandatory]

  • JMAG PowerSys[options]

Performance indicators

  • Simulation reports delivered on time with high level of reliability
  • Support level to correlate modeling and experimental results
  • Promote Valeo Values, Culture and Standards (Product, Methodology, Tools) within the Project Team and control their application
  • Respect Valeo Code of ethics
  • In the frame of the ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certifications, commit and promote Safety and Environmental behaviours and continuous improvement of the Environmental Management System. Ensure Team Members compliancy: Safety QRQC, safety rules, security equipments uses
