Job Description

As an SDET at Comcast, your role will involve validating product quality through analyzing and testing the code base. You will focus on writing code that can be executed in an automated and repeatable manner, reducing manual testing efforts and enhancing code quality. Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining code that validates front-end, middleware, and database systems using the latest tools and programming languages. You will collaborate with software engineers to create efficient automation code and deliver automated tests that meet product automation requirements. Additionally, you will be responsible for repairing intermediate complexity broken automation scripts and generating detailed test reports for the team.Core Responsibilities:- 2 years of experience in SDET Python- 3 years of experience in software quality assurance- Strong knowledge of QA tools and processes- Demonstrated leadership in projects and mentoring teammates- 2 years of heavy involvement with automated testing, including administering the framework, building it out, writing automated tests, and running tests- Ability to write clear and concise test plans, test cases, and detailed test reports- Experience in validating user stories, features, and initiatives for functional testing, integration testing, test report preparation, defect recording, and tracking- Skilled in effective troubleshooting- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously- Experience working in Agile teams- Experience delivering media solutions for the public internet is highly regarded- Digital media management, particularly in video processing and delivery, is desirableIn addition to the technical responsibilities, at Comcast, employees at all levels are expected to:- Understand and abide by the Operating Principles- Prioritize customer experience and provide seamless digital options- Stay updated and advocate for the latest technology, products, and services- Collaborate effectively with teams and be open to new ideas- Support a culture of inclusion- Uphold ethical standards for customers, investors, and communitiesEducation:- Bachelors DegreeComcast considers applicants with a Bachelors Degree or a combination of coursework and experience.
