To put it short: Vestas Power Solutions develops the wind power systems of the future.The Hub Module is a part of Aerodynamics & Mechanical and has sites in both Denmark, India, and Portugal. The module is fully responsible for the competences, design, specification, and documentation of the hydraulic blade pitching function in the wind turbine. This includes design and analysis from the early concept study for new turbines to the final specification for production. Additionally, we are also looking ahead to verify new technologies such that these can be part of future turbine project. The Hub team is also providing technologies in the areas of blade bearings and hub design and service.You will join a very international team, that is in India, Denmark, and Portugal. We live the Vestas values: Accountability, Collaboration, Simplicity and Enthusiasm which form the backbone for our culture of striving for world class.ResponsibilitiesClarifying design requirements with all relevant stakeholdersIdentify the detailed value chain requirements and changes at the start of the project.Develop 3D models and 2D drawings using Creo parametric with highest possible degree of standardization and reuse of know design and components.Define GPS on drawings reflecting manufacturing standardsEnsure cost-efficient design and usage of standard parts as well as manufacturing standardsEmbed relevant design and production knowledge into CAD by defining master models (parametrical models) and design guidelines/ checklistsDevelop the CAD design engineering competencies at Vestas to increase work quality and efficiencyEnable delivery of work packages in time and on quality through transparent standard workflows.Propel technical functional relevant professional experienceAccountable for definition on technology strategyDefinition of cost and product performance levelsQualificationsPh.D. or M.Sc. within Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related fieldsMinimum 3 years experience with a larger organization dealing with complex productsDesign and development of innovative mechanical systems.Computer Aided Design (CAD) in CreoProduct Data Management, e.g. PDM LinkEngineering Change Management Knowledge in EN and ISO standards related to mechanical component design Systems Engineering experienceCertification favored, e.g. INCOSE or formal trainingGood Business and Value chain understandingKnowledge of system engineering tools like DFMEA, HSE assessments, requirement specifications etc.CompetenciesQuickly pick up on the array of software tools and processes we currently use in our workflowCan develop innovative solutions to the questions we face when performing these analyses, up to and including development or introduction of new tools and processes into our workflowHave a solid understanding of mechanical systems to:Model new and change existing CAD modelsEfficiently communicate with the engineering teamAdditionally, we expect that you:Achieve goals as part of a team and that it comes naturally for you to collaborate and share knowledgeHave the patience to listen to, understand and respect your colleaguesAre committed to encouraging the innovative in Wind Turbine CAD technologyLike to work with complex engineering problems and have a creative approach to new opportunitiesTake pride in initiating and coordinating technology development projects through a large organizationAre enthusiastic, result-oriented and have a good sense of responsibilityHave good communication skills and are fluent in English (speaking and writing)It is an added value if you have:Experience with Creo and PDM Link and JiraKnowledge of Agile development methodologies and tools (e.g. Scrum)Project Management or business education/experienceExperience within other large corporate organizationsWhat We OfferWe offer an exciting job with great opportunities for professional and personal development in an inspiring environment at the energy industrys global partner on sustainable energy solutions.
