Job Description

  • Steering system concept preparation
  • Solid, Surface and sheet metal modeling and drafting in Catia. System layouts and drawings preparation and release in PLM up to product life cycle
  • Capable to design steering components with in given weight & cost targets.
  • Design and development of different Steering system like Electric power steering, Hydraulic power steering system.
  • Steering system calculations
  • Perform IFMEA , DFMEA , DVP & design reviews
  • Material cost reduction
  • Ability to resolve Validation/ field concerns.
  • Dynamic and effective CFT member
  • Supplier interaction and excute the work as per target setting
JOB ROLE:
  • Knowledge in Steering System design & Geometry.
  • System layouts and drawings preparation and release in PLM up to product life cycle
  • Interacting with CFT team to resolve interface issues /Development issues
  • Conducting line trials, resolving manufacturing line issues
  • Conduct benchmarking of steering system. Job Requirements Experience (years) B.E : 2 to 5 Years Industry Preferred Automotive Qualification BE in Mechanical engineering
Personality Traits Competencies:
  • Good Catia Software background
  • Related to Automobile background
  • Well versed with Industrial practices
  • Will be able to work with CFT General Requirements Knowledge of Product data management & engineering change release procedures
Basic Knowledge of overall vehicle Functional Competencies / Skills critical for the job Functional COMPETENCY EXPECTED:
  • Working knowledge of design, development & integration of EPS (Electric power
  • steering), Rack & pinion steering gear, HPS system.
  • Good Catia Software Knowledge
  • GD&T basic knowledge as per ASME preferred
  • Joinery details like welding symbols
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing process like Blanking, Forming, Machining ,Casting
  • , Forging.etc
  • Understand the Steering system functional requirement and able to generate
  • specifications for different types of steering system.
  • Basic awareness of surface treatments for forged,formed and casting parts.
  • VAVE methodology Names of Companies from where we can get this talent . CAR OEMs & Suppliers (Steering system) of Car OEMs.
