Job Description

    Qualification:BE(Mechanical) with 3-5 yrs of experience in Thermal Analysis using Flotherm or Icepak software or any CAE or CFD software.Job Responsibilities:Project plan development including schedules and preliminary budgets.Support electronics team in making packing related tradeoff.Thermal design for rugged environments which dissipates >80W per board/slot.Mechanical design for Hybrid chassis for conduction & convection modules compatible for 6U/3U form factors.Heatsink design for forced convection.Conduction cooled heat frame design for rugged environments.Detailed manufacturing drawing for heatsink or heatframesGenerate thermal report & mechanical pack reports for customer reference.Flow down requirements to subcontractors/ vendors.Evaluating detailed capabilities of sub-contractors, company audit for manufacturing process evaluation.Mechanical fixture design for shock & vibration.Co-ordination with testing team for thermal chamber testing & Shock, Vibration testing.Product review after final completion of design proving.Knowledge on VME, cPCI, VPX, PMC, VITA, IEEE specifications.Expertise in Package, Board and System level Thermal Analysis (CAE & CFD) that also included development of cooling strategies and thermal management techniques e.g. selection of heat sink or design of custom heat sink based on thermal resistance required, Design for rugged heat frames, heat pipes, fan etc. used for various levels of electronic packaging that includes RF ( Radio frequency domain)Knowledge of Ansys Icepak or Flotherm (CFD) tools.Experience - 3 to 5 yearsLocation - Chennai
