Job Description

Engineer - Met Mast Monitoring IN, Chennai | Professional | Full-Time | ID: 17388Vestas is the world leader in wind technology and a driving force in the development of the wind power industry. Come and join us at Vestas!Product Strategy & Technical Sales > Global Siting > Global SitingWe are a versatile organization that primarily focuses on providing specialized support to the Siting organization to provide special support on Load assessment, Computational Fluid Dynamics, and Hybrid projects. We are a 11-member team with high level of motivation and enthusiasm towards our work. We are in a journey towards growing as a functional relevant skills center and are looking forward for the right people to assist us achieve our goals.Responsibilities

  • Administer the system performance and report findings
  • Prepare bankable reports
  • Interact and work with regional teams across the company and provided the needed information
  • Site Visits and travel to inspect met towers and wind projects
  • Attend conferences and industry meetings
  • Creation of new accounts and maintenance of accounts in the FTP server
  • Add new met mast layouts to the system once commissioned
  • Ensure workability of data record of all the met mast globally
  • Work with Group IT for regular system maintenance and updates.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors / masters degree in mechanical or Aerospace engineering is desired
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in engineering with background in wind resource assessment including Met mast data monitoring
  • Knowledge on SQL will be added advantage
  • Experience in Wind siting
  • Windographer monitor working experience is is required to
  • Proficient in MS office tools
Competencies
  • Proven proven history in implementing the projects as per guidelines & processes from a load and control perspective
  • Experience in scrum setup following milestones and meeting deadlines
  • Methodical in handle large data handling
  • Creative, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality
  • Fluent communication skills in written and spoken English
  • Ability to work as a team member
  • Good stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work with in a global organization
