Job Description

Responsible for developing the organizations overall financial policies. Provides strategic direction of all financial functions including accounting, budget, credit, insurance, tax, and treasury. Perform risk management by analyzing the organizations liabilities and investments. Decide on investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks. Control and evaluate the organizations fundraising plans and capital structure. Ensure cash flow is appropriate for the organizations operations. Supervise all finance personnel (controllers, treasurers etc.). Experience in the. Travel Domain will be added advantage.Key Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To Developing plans for growth to increase company profit. Identifying investment opportunities and managing mergers and acquisitions. Providing strategic management of the accounting and finance functions. Directing accounting policies, procedures and internal controls. Recommending improvements to ensure the integrity of a companys financial information. Managing or overseeing the relationship with independent auditors. Overseeing financial systems implementations and upgrades. Identifying and managing business risks and insurance requirements. Statutory and mandatory compliance.Key Requirements & Characteristics collaborating with the CEO, board, and other senior managers in Canada. Managing relationships with investors and investment institutions. Hiring, training, and retaining skilled accounting and finance staff. In depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices. Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods. Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g. Zoho Books). Ability to strategize and solve problems. Strong leadership and organizational skills. An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers. Work with a highly energetic and diverse global team.
