Job Description

Cloud and Network Services, include Software business , Nokia s enterprise solutions, core network solutions including both voice and packet core, and managed and advanced services. This unit also act as a delivery channel of certain products from other business groups to enterprise customers. Cloud and Network Services target growth by leveraging the industry transition to cloud-based delivery, network-as-a-service business models, and software-led value creation.What you will learn and contribute toJob DescriptionThis Job Role is responsible for the coordination, management and execution of proactive and reactive maintenance activities that require a high level of support. This shall ensure that the services provided to customers are continuously available and performing to Service Level Agreement (SLA) performance levels and serving the customer independently directly or through customer interface.The position is assigned to work with troubleshooting/configuration of Core network (2G/3G/4G/5G) & Cloud infra. He is to act on network and relevant equipment problems escalated from the surveillance function. It is the responsibility of the Engineer to solve and correct service and network problems according to agreed timing and standard set, to detect and highlight network deficiencies and to some extent predict future degradations.Your skills and experienceResponsibilities: -

  • Support and Deploy Mavenir products-SMSC/MMSC/Voice mail
  • Perform software and hardware configuration changes related to Mavenir products in customer test Lab or live environments.
  • Good Understanding of the MO-MT message flows, HNR, FSG etc
  • Good knowledge on anti-flooding, message blocking last chance & Differed delivery etc
  • Well versed in Mavenir KPIs, counters and other
  • Create Operation-related documentation such as method of procedures, Acceptance documentations.
  • Participate in technical workshops, customer meetings and other project activities.
  • Communicate and cooperate with customer representatives and project team on technical issues, deliveries, and project lifecycle plans.
  • Good understanding on Operating systems (Linux, Solaris), Virtualization (VMware & Hypervisor), usage of networking Sniffers (Wireshark) & O&M tools.
  • Hands on any scripting language preferably UNIX / Linux, Perl, LUA, & any database (SQL / Oracle).
  • Ability to visualize E2E network & sensitivity around handling live network. Working experience on l2 and L3 switches from HP and CISCO, Load Balancer etc.
  • Basics of Mobile and IP network working & call flow, Overview of ITU - T / ANSI, 3GPP telecom standards / protocol is desired.
  • Knowledge of Wireless Networks and Telecom protocols such as SIP, Diameter, SS7, SIGTRAN, SNMP, MAP, INAP, ISUP, CAP, LDAP, SMPP, IMAP, HTTP, Web Services, SIP expert level knowledge is must
  • Well familiar with SMSC / MMSC / Voicemail protocols, procedures and E2E flows like MO / MT / AO SMS, SMSC features like Flash Alerts & Reports, Short Code, Location SMS, and SMS Firewall features
  • Overview of Mavenir SMSC components
  • Mavenir MCO, XMS, XA, SSF, SSL & XAG
  • Should have hands-on experience on SMS nodes above mentioned
  • Should be having Knowledge on SIP, SS7 (ISUP, SCCP,MAP),SMPP, LDAPS & Diameter protocols
  • Knowledge of Scripting
  • PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES: A service mindset is mandatory. Knowledge of NOC operations in Telecom domain is a plus.
  • Willingness to work on rotational shifts, supporting 24X7 roster.
  • A proactive approach and self-driven behaviour is mandatory.
  • Good oral and written communication skills is mandatory
