Job Description

As an Axelerant Front-end Developer I, you would be designing and implementing the look and feel of principally Drupal-based websites and related materials by creating sitemaps, wireframes, and visual design comps for internal and client-facing web projects. Additionally, you ll design for multiple devices and interactions (such as desktops, touch devices like smartphones and tablets, and simpler devices like feature phones).A Front-end Developer I have enough skills to add value to a project. They have fundamental domain knowledge and can deliver basic results. Front-end Developer I follow project procedures and conduct themselves professionally. They need plenty of guidance and are striving to learn at every opportunity. A Front-end Developer I work will be partly billable per project circumstances.A Front-end Developer I at Axelerant should progress to a Front-end Developer II role within two years.Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for designing and building front-end applications with trivial content structure and functionality
  • Support technical discussions with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Support mutually agreeable outcomes with clients, partners, and other stakeholders
  • Responsible for front-end development tasks including custom module using agile, collaborative, and continuous integration methodologies
  • Responsible for solving problems effectively by collaborating with peers
  • Responsible for identifying, analyzing, and solving problems systematically rather than solely by gut
  • Support being coached and mentored
  • Responsible for documenting incidents and issues for communication and reference purposes
Requirements:
  • 1+ year of Drupal front-end development experience
  • Capable of production worthy Drupal front-end efforts within six months of joining Axelerant
Nice to Have:
  • Able to collaborate in a multi-time zone environment
  • Committed to delivering high-quality software on time
  • Desire to learn and adapt through boring and innovative methodologies and technologies
  • Drupal 8 experience with Twig, theme suggestions, variable encoding on a page for JS
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Experience in application performance through JavaScript profiling and code optimization
  • Experience using front-end frameworks like AngularJS, ReactJS, Ember, Zurb Foundation, Bootstrap, and other grid systems
  • Experience with Git, using the terminal, and managing front-end systems with package managers such as NPM and organization tools like Grunt
  • Knowledge of CSS frameworks such as CSS, SASS, LESS, OOCSS, Smacss, BEM, etc
  • Understanding of using Drupal tools such as Drush and Composer
