Work in, contribute to and lead application development teams in Risk, Finance, and Treasury Technology, contributing to team projects and developing individual .NET applications and services. Take responsibility and ownership for technical delivery across work-streamsBe able to work with automation tools (e.g. continuous integration and automated deployment) in an agile framework to deliver high quality applications when the business needs them. Integrate with 3 rd party applications to reuse functionality and data. Maintain and evolve existing applications to be in line with the latest approaches and technologies.Explore new technologies and frameworks, and innovate with them to achieve an excellent outcome for customers.What will you be doing o Design, develop and deliver innovative and tactical solutions to benefit the Risk community.o Work closely with onshore and offshore developers within an agile environment to deliver on time to plan and on budget.o Work to and contribute to overall application design, translating business requirements into technical designs that can be used to effectively build applications.o Understand the current application architecture and roadmap; ensure all solutions are developed according to standards and best practice.o Continually strive to develop yourself and stay abreast of new technologies and emerging methodologies.o Strive to become a subject matter expert, by learning and then by demonstrating knowledge through teachingo Develop, work to, refine and implement world class standards across the team.o Independently identify repetitive or time consuming processes that can be automated, especially where they benefit multiple business areas.o Consume and produce data from a variety of sources, outputting where necessary to downstream applications, or updating the source.o Identify and resolve problems, working closely with the business and support teams.o Be able to contribute to status updates, and own risk or issues to give early visibility of problems.What we re looking for:Working knowledge of:o .NET/C#/ASP.NET (web forms and MVC) and T-SQL;o Best practise object oriented programming techniques and concepts (e.g. software design patterns, SOA, n-tier architecture);o Automated Testing Software and Frameworks including MSTest, NUnit, MSFakes, Moq and Seleniumo Understanding of RESTExperience leading a team of developers to deliver exceptional products;Excellent team worker with curiosity and desire to learn and improve themselves and the environment in which they work;Automated testing techniques and tools.Skills that will help you in the role:Qualification to Bachelor degree in a technical discipline (e.g. Maths, Physics, Computer Science);Experience working with:o DevOps toolchain technologies (e.g. chef, stash, team city, Nolio,)o Demonstrable working knowledge of the following technologies: JavaScript (AngularJS, JQuery), Rest & SOAP Web Services, HTML, JSON, XML, SSIS;o Cloud Computing;o A Knowledge of Team City, Jira, Nolio, Nexuso SharePoint and Ninetexo ANSI SQL knowledge Able to interogate SQL, MariaDB, PostgresDBKnowledge and understanding of end-to-end software development lifecycle especially agile software development techniques;Test Driven Development, Behaviour Driven Development,
