Responsible for the research, conceptualization, direction and delivery of the overall technology architecture and application across our Company and Community portals, while being adept in open source/ web/ mobile apps. Evaluate and identify appropriate technology platforms (including web application frameworks and the deployment stack) for delivering.Identify technology trends and evolving social behavior that may support or impede the success of the business.Responsible for delivering products with high quality, on time while maintaining high efficiency of resources utilized. Identify opportunities and risks for delivering companys servicesEvaluate and identify appropriate technology platforms which can scale in the future.Lead the Engineering, Operations and IT teams across Development, QA, Operations, etc. Responsible for every layer of the stack: Backend, Operations, Web, Desktop, Mobile, Integrations etc. Responsible for Big Data and Analytics Platforms, NoSQL non- relational (row- major and column major) Databases, Billing and Payment platforms, Recommendation Engines, Experimentation Platforms, Caching, Transactional Systems etc. Communicate the companys technology strategy to investors, management, staff, partners, customers, and stakeholders. Lead the innovation research and development efforts Establish trusted advisor relationships at senior and executive levels Provide technical direction to delivery on key transition and transformation initiatives.Promote and drive innovation and thought leadership in the industry.Lead strategic planning to achieve business goals by identifying and prioritizing development initiatives and setting timetables for the evaluation, development, and deployment of all web- based services.Preferred skills The candidate must have analytical skills to synthesize complex or diverse information and designing skills to generate creative solutions. Must be excellent in managing people: Define Goals, Includes staff in planning, decision- making, facilitating and process improvement.Should have a strong ability to work effectively in a matrix environment.Should have superb communication skills, including strong oral and presentation skills with the ability to communicate and interact at all levels.Should possess excellent management skills, with the ability to delegate and manage multiple priorities while generating positive relationshipsExperience in managing projects in open source worked in Linux- Apache- MySQL- PHP (LAMP) environment.Experience in project management methodologyExperience in re engineering and innovative projectsQualificationsEngineering Graduate from any Premier Technology / Engineering University with 15- 18 yrs of experience in managing project and delivery.Prior experience of working with consumer internet services company.Experience in open source environment is an advantage.Should have track record on technology planning and business outcome.Experience of working with high traffic portals Experience in using project management tools like PMP, Lean or other agile models.Certification in PMP, Agile- Scrum data would be an added advantage.,
