Job Description

    • Combines knowledge of astrophysics, geophysics, geology, rock mechanics and rock physics to construct 1D and 3D static and dynamic mechanics models on a field or basin scale. Particular emphasis is on understanding the impact of salt on mechanical conditions in the underground and an ability to include salt behavior in mechanical modeling.
    • Other important topics are Pore Pressure prediction and well bore stability forecasting in the exploration phase and well bore stability, sanding and reservoir stimulation applications in the development phase in the life of a field.
    • Responsible for the QC, processing and interpretation of mechanical data and for the QC of input data such as log and seismic data. Delivers quality interpretation products to the customer and discusses the key observations and helps the customer to understand the value and impact of the product.
    • Applies mechanical models to optimize fracture stimulation, optimize drilling and well placement; understand and calibrate pore-pressure, determines well bore stability problems and sand production.
