o Agile development using.NET, C#, HTML5 and SQL Server.o Delivering solutions within a DevOps environment with a focus on automation of testing and deployment via standardised framework.o Working closely with global development team members in other regions, participating in and contributing to technical discussions.o Communicate effectively with the local development manager and team.o Responding promptly to requests from the RTB support team in order to resolve user queries and handle technical issues that are out of scope for the support staff.o Making technical updates to reduce the manual support overhead for the system.o Working with BAs and Team Leads to understand the functional scope of project work, questioning decisions and collaborating with end-users to ensure that business needs are met on a timely basis.o Drafting initial design proposals for reviews by team leads and architects, and contributing to detailed technical specifications where appropriate.o Liaising with the Design authority and IT teams in other regions to ensure that all new components fit within guiding principles.o Following good processes and practices, as defined by the team standards; ensuring that documentation is complete, comprehensive and signed off.o Implement and test technical solutions from specifications to both new and existing systems.o Ensuring code written meets the predefined company and department standardso Involvement in peer reviews with more senior team members in order to provide constructive feedbacko Creating and maintaining unit tests with an aim for 80% code coverageo Liaising with a test team to provide support during SIT, QA and UAT test phaseso Diagnosis and resolution of defects found during SIT, QA and UAT test phaseso Supporting regression testing.o Following established process and practices with regards to source code management and audit controls.o Writing release plans and coordinating release walkthroughs with the environment managers and RTB teamso Acting as a point of contact for support team, investigating and resolving issues found in production following minor releaseso Providing on-call support for minor releasesWhat we re looking for:o A degree in engineering, computer science or a quantitative discipline e.g. statistics, physics or mathematics preferred.o IB experience advantageous but not a pre-requisiteSkills that will help you in the role:total work experience in a relevant IT industry.in-depth experience on C# / .Net as part of a development role.in-depth experience on MS SQL as part of a development role.Knowledge of HDFS and Hadoop advantageous but not a pre-requisite.General understanding of the full SDLC lifecycle and Agile methodologies.Hands on experience with Perforce, ClearCase, Git or other source code control tools.Willingness to broaden skill sets and learn a secondary technology where necessary.Willingness and capacity to learn complex financial concepts relevant to the role.Analytical skills; ability to investigate and resolve issues in a high-pressured environment.Beneficial: General understanding of the finance markets and environmentBeneficial: Specific product knowledge of any of the following - FX, commodities, debt products, credit derivatives, other derivative products,
