If you would like some flexibility, then please discuss this with the hiring manager.This is a critical FBP role (end to end) supporting multiple functions, facing off to the business manager and COOs. Key person risk associated to the role as this role is the only face off for business with Finance and budgets/actuals monitored through this resource for these key functions.What will you be doing Ensure month end ledger closure with appropriate controls in place o Be the central point of contact to process all manual journal postings, related Inform reconciliations an B/S controls Presenting monthly MI with insights and commentary to function s FBP leads and Business Managers Manage and planning and outlook process including tracking and highlighting Risk & Opportunities Supporting multiple TCs /Services & facing off to the business managers.Cost Review, Analytics and Ledger Closure o Flash Reporting - Review and analysis of Flash Results, Issuance of Flash reports to Lead FBPs / BMs, by Account line/Cost Centre reviews and process necessary adjustments o Cost Accruals & Prepayments - Pre-month review of expense and accruals, Calculation of accruals and maintenance of calculation models, liaise with Accounting Operations to ensure posting of accruals, prepayments and expense re class & Adequate substantiation of accruals and prepayments, o Global Cost Review and Analytics - Cost Analysis by account line / cost centres, run daily reports from SAP ledgers/ BW/Apptio / CEO Cube etc during month end process o Balance Sheet Reconciliation & Sign-off - Substantiation and reconciliation of all accruals and prepayments posted by the team, Balance sheet reporting by account line & Account Ownership sign-off o Control pack submission, self-assessment of controls and liaise with internal / external and signing off attestationsPlanning and Outlook o Manage planning and outlook process liaising with BMs o Prepare planning, outlook templates and related Mgmt Information for review with BMs/FBPs o Monitoring and highlighting the risk and opportunities o Support Group and Central teams on the overall MTP/STP exerciseManagement Reporting and Insights o Lead performance review within the Finance FTCs, analysing, provide insights, commentary and interpreting financial information, and advising/challenging and supporting the team leaders in improving the financial control and reporting environment. o Resolve queries and ad-hoc requests by BMs / FBPs o Review and analyse complex financial reports and financial statements analysis and present the same to the management. o Produce accurate, timely and reliable MI reports (EXCO, adhoc reports, forecast and budget) o Drive the rationalization, standardization, centralization and control of all MI reports within the suite o Update and improve reports (in line with business objectives) focusing on scalability, efficiency and effectivenessLiaise with Functions / BMs and Central teams on reporting hierarchy creation and changes o Translate all hierarchy change requests into BX Controller CoE submission templates o Liaise with various teams to ensure changes are reflected in the Finance hierarchy systemsProjects / Transformation Provide active support in executing Cost Transformation Projects within Cost FTCHierarchy & Reference data management (not mandatory) o Good understanding of Barclays systems and cost landscape, data flows, ledger interfaces o Ability to analyze and visualize end reporting requirements into structural changes in reference data systems for strategic implementation o Track record of completing business analysis assignments (business requirements gathering & testing) o Proficiency on reference data management tools like DRM, RDM, Sap Static, BW, databasesTeam management o Manage team work load, be accountable for ensuring the highest level of delivery and execution, balanced with excellent client service o Coach fellow team members to help develop their skills, and ensure knowledge is shared throughout the team to eliminate key man risk o Responsible for the direct and indirect management of a team of between 1-5.What we re looking for:Technical Knowledge Knowledge of financial industry cost drivers Experience in direct costs, indirect costs management and reporting.
