Job Description

    Job DescriptionTitle :HVAC Design EngineerLocation: ChennaiExperience: 8 YearsIndustry: Oil & Gas (Onshore/Offshore)Key Responsibilities
    • Evaluating and understanding the HVAC Scope Requirements
    • Design and Checking of D&IDs (Ducting and Instrumentation Diagrams) and P&ID
    • Heating and Cooling Load Calculations
    • Designing the Duct layouts, Pressure Drop Calculations and reviewing the 3D Duct Models
    • Preparation of Ducting and piping layouts.
    • Design of Heating System for Electric Heaters and water Radiators (sectional radiator), unit heater as per project specifications and design basis or standards
    • Size equipment such as chillers, AHUs, ducts, and piping systems.
    • Design of Centralized/ Decentralized Heating Ventilation & Air Conditioning system.
    • Familiar with various codes and standard like ASHARE, ISHRAE, SMACNA,standards.
    • Calculating the pipe size for chilled water system and Heating system.
    • Co-ordination with other engineering departments.
    • Kick-Off Meeting with Vendor, Schedule review and approval of Vendor deliverables.
    • Preparation of Air Flow Balance, D&IDs, Ducting Layouts and 3D Model review of Ducts.
    Candidate Profile:
    • Educational Qualification: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
    • Minimum 8 years of experience in HVAC design for the Oil & Gas or EPC industry.
