BU Description:The Helix SaaS Operations team is responsible for end-to-end SaaS delivery - managing, governing, and securing SaaS products within BMC. The team manages user and team access, licensing and spending, SaaS operations workflows, integration integrity, data and access security, policy adherence, and SaaS-related process automation.Primary Roles and Responsibilities:As Senior Project Manager, you will provide project management support to the Helix SaaS Operations team at BMC.You are an experienced Project Manager with very strong Jira experience who embodies an Agile mindset and is passionate about empowering an Agile culture. You have experience coaching, guiding, and supporting executives, managers, product owners, Scrum Masters, and others. Your superpower Customer engagement and application of established processes and procedures for upgrading our customers to new versions of our products.The ideal candidate will understand the components of a cloud infrastructure. Prior experience in managing projects around server infrastructure at a cloud computing setting is highly desirable.Roles and Responsibilities:
• Plan, lead, and manage cross-functional projects with complex inter-dependencies with other teams within BMC SaaS Operations and other teams, such as Support, Sales and R&D.
• Set the foundation for being a trusted advisor by acting as a dependable collaborator, building trust and modeling positive behaviors with other individuals within SaaS Operations and across the organization.
• Influence change across projects and functional areas by working across all levels of the organization to define and execute strategies for successful SaaS Operations; get hands-on in enabling the incremental delivery of value.
• Coach and mentor more junior team members on how to influence organizational change and remove barriers to transformation.
Required Skills:
• BS in Computer Science in Computer Science, Business management, Engineering, or equivalent
• 5+ years experience managing complex projects / programs, either as line manager or program manager or senior technical member, in high tech company with SaaS operations
• Experience in working with cross-functional internal and external teams
• Understanding of Software development life cycle, Dev-Ops tools, CI/CD workflow
• Demonstrate experience in lead projects which include working with public clouds like AWS/Azure/ Google Cloud and microservices using container technology such as Docker, Kubernetes etc.
• Excellent analytical, quantitative reasoning, problem solving, creativity and strategic skills
• Demonstrated success in leading programs and teams, planning and tracking execution, gaining consensus, resolving issues, creating and triggering mitigation plans, and leading process improvement initiatives
• Superior communications skill
• Ability to make decisions independently
