Summary:Provide technical guidance to merchants and developers in their implementation of PayPals payment processing solutions (1st and 3rd party), APIs, and commerce products. Ensure merchants implement PayPals payment processing solutions with a high degree of quality and use optimal integration strategies and techniques Summary:The PayPal Global Merchant Services team is responsible for providing technical consulting and integration services for the implementation of PayPals payment, identity and platform capabilities, as well as representing the wider product set available to major global partners and merchants. The Integration Engineer is a key member of the integration team who provides guidance, consultation, and best practices during the integration phases of any project. We are seeking a dynamic individual with fast innovative thinking skills, exceptional technical skills, and a solid business acumen. As the Integration Engineer, we will look for you to use your technology and business intelligence to help merge the multitude of APIs and experiences to create solutions our consumers and merchants will love. The role requires internal cross team participation with key internal stakeholder teams such as Product, Engineering, Risk, Compliance, Identity, etc. to address specific integration requirements or new product features. Travel requirements are minimal.Your day-to-day:

• Interacts directly with our clients, merchants,partnersand developers torecogniseand articulate business requirements and how best to implement our PayPal solutions,while adhering to PayPal guidelines andcompanypolicies.
• Provide technical guidance to merchants and developers in their implementation of PayPals payment processing solutions (1st and 3rd party), APIs, and commerce products.
• Ensure merchants implement PayPals payment processing solutions with a high degree of quality and use optimal integration strategies and techniques.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and run test scenarios for technical issues with PayPal code, software, hardware, devices and endpoints, and communicate fixes or workarounds for an issue.Generate and review in-depth technical information (Sample code, white papers, FAQs, Snippets) for distribution to PayPal merchants.
• Act as main technical point of contact for all implementation-related activities throughout the integrationeffort. Facilitate setting up test accounts, provide technical development and coding support, andguidethe clientthroughtesting and pre-launch activities.

• Be the Voice of the Customer and relayconstructivefeedback toProduct Managers, Engineering,Technologyand other internal groups on ease of use and new functionality. Work with internal teams onany required feature enhancements or to address anysolution gaps.
• Work inpartnershipwith Solution Engineers and Solution Architects to integrate proposed PayPal solutions into the client commerce platforms.
• Workswithkeyinternal stakeholders, including Product Management, Risk, Payments, etc. to address specific customer business requirements or new product features.
• Work closely with internal teams including compliance, privacy, risk, information security,supportand operations to ensure all aspects of apartner ormerchant launch are managed
• Identify anddefine integration specific best practices

• Ensure partners implement optimal integration strategies,techniquesand user experience best practices

What do you need to bring:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in finance and computer science.
• 3+years of experience/exposure in the following areas:
• Hands on expertise in Java script, Java, REST API framework

• Web and mobile technologies including Web Services, APIs, REST, HTML/HTTP, iOS, Android and leading web and mobile application frameworks.
• Multiplemajor programming languages (PHP, Java, JavaScript, Ruby,.NET, Python, C++, Objective-C, C#).

• Ability to successfully interact and dynamically adapttocommunication styles with all levels of client organizations including C-level executives, middle management, finance and operations, technical/IT staff, and line personnel.
• Ability to translate requirements into detailed design and solution documents.

• Ability to quickly assess and troubleshoot most integration issues
• Effectivetime management skills to work with multiple external customers concurrently.
• Self -learner for most of the topics on new products with proficiently designedsolutions and deliver integrations with both off the shelf and customized products.
• Strong presentation skills (Presenting to Business units and Technical teams)
• Less than 10% domestictravel. International travelis not expected

Preferred Experience

• 2+years of experiencewith Payments (Credit Card, Banking, Online, Offline & Ecommerce). Comprehensive knowledgeis highly valuedincommerce systems, payments gateways and payment processors.
• Broadknowledgeof technical concepts and payment processing as it relates to company products and integration.
