Job Description

Job Purpose:

  • The purpose of the job is to design, develop and deliver enterprise applications in Finance and Risk Technology primarily using best in class software engineering practices with help of relevant technologies and tools like Talend, Spark, Unix/Hadoop
Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading/part of the development teams in development Center and aligning them to the global teams
  • Responsible for end-to-end delivery including understanding requirements, design, development, testing, release
  • Design, document and develop batch and real time integration solutions based on functional requirements and integration requirements using Talend/Spark
  • Develop Java programs to support and integrate with Talend/Spark Jobs
  • Help develop test cases and plans to complete the unit testing and support System testing
  • Have complete understanding of application code through code compilation, code walkthrough, execution flow, overall design, local compilation, deployment and behaviour/Unit testing.
  • Participate in all project planning, progress & development meetings with the team & global managers

Knowledge/Experience:
  • Overall development experience of 10-12years. 4+ Hands on experience in application design & development in following technologies:
  • Java
  • Talend
  • Spark
  • RDBMS
  • Unix/Hadoop
  • Distributed Computing
  • Strong understanding of build and release tools and technologies
  • Experience in large-scale, distributed system design and development with low latency
  • Real time knowledge and experience on enterprise system integration
  • Good understanding of map-reduce paradigm and able to develop Spark applications/map reduce jobs.
Good to have:
  • Experience of Financial concepts and functions (Journals, Revaluations, reclass, suspense etc.). Domain knowledge in Accounting
  • Python or R
  • Machine learning
  • Natural Language Processing

  • B.Tech from a top engineering college, University, preferably in computer science. Other preferred branches are EE, ECE. Candidates with passion for coding and systems development from other disciplines also can apply. Substantial part of experience should be in top notch IBs/Banks and product companies
