Our KES organization is responsible for coding product configuration rules for HPE s propriety knowledge base and configurators (OCA, OCS), used by 15,800 HPE partner users and 4,600 HPE Presales/ Ops users to generate 2.1M solution configurations for customers annually. The team of 66 is staffed with Java developers, QA testers, and project managers in Chennai and Guadalajara hubs,The role of KES Technical Architect, responsible as technical leads in the overall design and development executed by the scrum teams. They master the key skills needed to maintain the overall integrity of HPE s product configuration rule knowledge base, and preserves and maintains our investment in guided configuration wizard user interfaces for MCS, Apollo, Synergy, Simplivity and Nimble that supports approximately $7B in quoted revenue annually.Primary responsibility: Develop code to setup product data and rules in HPE proprietary configurators Knowledge Base (KB). Develop proficiency (depth) in the code for certain product lines but a minimal code familiarity is expected for all other areas, especially the companion products to KE s primary product.Understand Product requirements,Technical specificationsBU perspective, marketing viewCustomer perspective, what they want to buyFactory perspective, how to buildUnderstand HPE s CPQ (configure price quote) ecosystem, includingUsers - Sales and PartnersTools - configurators, quoters, checkers, sizersTouch points of the Ocx configurators - various applications, servers and datastore (TOMS, CORONA,.) and pinpoint the source of the customer issue.Touch points of the OCx KB to the OCA application and the Next Gen Config engine.Conduct integration and solution testingTest (white box testing) the configuration for the coded product as well as its integration with other products test customer orderable HPE product solutionProvide maintenance and application supportManage schedule for meeting timelines for assigned NPI work as well as fixing assigned issues within the SLAHandle communication within and outside KES as required about the status for NPI and bug fixesActively contribute to a high-performing KES community, including:Leveraging standards set by the Technical Architects,Participating in peer code reviews, maintaining documentation,Conducting a self-audit of root cause for production support tickets.Providing support to KES QA, Support and CLIC teams, including best practices on testing and help with training L1 supportDemonstrate resilience, persistence, and positivity when faced with challenging technical topics and difficult user feedback.Proven proficiency for coding and debugging in Java and Java ScriptFast learner -- Besides Java and Java Script, the job requires learning a proprietary configuration language (ngc language)Must haveExcellent understanding of software development life cycle.Ability to work in a fast paced environment where the project cycles can be as short as 3 weeks to 3 months from requirement gathering to release to production.Ability to work across geographically spread out cross functional teams within KES as well as outside (Sales, pre sales, partners, BUS, factory .Motivation to suggest (and implement) improvements to the existing code development environment, debugging tools and testing tools.Ability and desire to actively participate in documentation and training across KES teams as well as outside of Sales Operations.Good written and verbal (English) communication skillsNice to haveExperience in the configuration field is a plusExperience in the development of web applications is a plusThe Technical Architect will also, provide technical support to the creation and delivery of software products, conducts or participates in technical research and collaboration with developers in the process, design, development, and usage of software development tools and systems. Responsibilities may include leading a team or project in area of expertise, planning, supporting, coordinating, integrating, troubleshooting, and administering systems used as part of the Software Development infrastructure to control and release components.
