Job DescriptionThe Slate Volcker Data Team requires a software developer with a varied skill set. The developer will provide software solutions in support of testing automation, data reconciliations, data analyses, and finished end user reports. In this capacity, the developer will face off with the Slate development team, data team colleagues, project managers and a wide variety of Front and Middle office managers who support the generation of Volcker metrics in a worldwide Investment Banking business environment.A successful candidate should have five or more years of experience building automated testing solutions or in software development, have expertise in database or front- end technology stacks, have experience with Agile SDLC concepts, and preferably have some basic knowledge of asset classes traded in the investment banking industry. The candidate must have contributed significantly to multiple successful enterprise projects and milestonesExperience programming in Python and SQL is preferred. The candidate should have strong Excel skills to aid in data analyses.ResponsibilitiesSoftware Development:Design and develop testing solutions in support of database, report (stored procedure) and UI regression automationContribute to efforts to adopt test driven development best practicesWrite well- organized and structured SQL database code in support of reconciliations and end user reportsWrite ad- hoc database queries in support of data investigationsDocument software requirements for complex enterprise migration and other projectsData Analysis:Understand drivers in data, spot trends, and escalate outlier data as requiredAsk questions to business users about data anomaliesSolve data inconsistencies across technical platformsReconcile data across sourcesBusiness- facing:Work collaboratively with Operations, the Front office and the other functions (Finance, Risk)Capture business requirements thoroughlyRequirementsEducation: BE/ BTech/ MCACertifications If Any - NAExperience Range: 9 - 11 yrsMandatory skillsGood understanding of functional testing process, scenarios and what to expect from a testing sequenceStrong Investment Banking Domain and Excellent communication skillsStrong Problem Identifying and solving abilityAbility to understand and maintain existing automated scripts based on the specifications and validate that the solution provided meets the requirements and provide inputs.Strong knowledge on test design and preparationAbility to work in international virtual teams and in matrix structures and being a good team playerPositive attitude to resolve problems and ability to work odd hours to support the business demandsAbility to write and/ or automate functional test cases based on the specifications and validate that the solution provided meets the requirementsDesired skillsPython / Reporting BIGherkin, BeehaveWork Timings: 11:00AM 8PM,
